Furthermore, 20% of university graduates are players (active or not), demonstrating D&D’s strong connection to a highly engaged, intellectual audience. For those who haven’t yet ventured into the game, almost 20% are eager to give it a try, showcasing D&D’s enduring appeal and its ability to attract new players.
Why Canadians Love DUNGEONS & DRAGONS
If we take a closer look at what makes D&D resonate with players, we find that imagination, improvisation and creativity (41%), socializing and having fun with friends (40%) and engaging stories and storytelling (37%) are some of the most cherished elements. In terms of character development, players particularly appreciate compelling, well-developed antagonists (40%), charismatic misfits with a sense of humor (40%) and unique, imaginative characters (31%).

Among current D&D players, enthusiasm for a video game adaptation is strong, with 91% expressing interest and 64% being very interested.
